Easy lemon pudding Poppyseed bread has lemon, poppyseeds, and a sweet glaze. The secret ingredient, lemon pudding mix, makes this bread moist and tasty. Lemon poppyseed bread is now made using simple ingredients.

– 2 cups biscuit/baking mix, sifted – 1 box (3.4 oz) instant lemon pudding mix (do not prepare, use dry mix) – 1/4 cup poppyseed – 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest – 2 large eggs, lightly beaten – 1 cup whole milk – 1/4 cup canola oil – 1 cup powdered sugar – 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

To 375 degrees, preheat the oven. Prepare a loaf pan measuring 9 by 5 inches and coat it with cooking spray. Put aside for later.

Sift the baking mix, add the dry pudding mix, poppyseeds, and lemon zest to a large mixing bowl, and stir everything together. Make sure to break up any clumps by stirring the mixture with a wire whisk.

The eggs, milk, and oil should be mixed together in a smaller mixing dish using a whisk.

When you add the liquid to the dry ingredients, use a spatula or a wooden spoon to mix everything together until it is completely wet and incorporated.

The batter should be poured into the bread pan. Bake for forty to forty-five minutes, or until the centre is attractively peaked and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out dry or with moist crumbs.

Allow the bread to cool for approximately fifteen minutes in the loaf pan, after which it should be removed to a cooling rack and allowed to cool completely before being glazed.

To make the sauce, put the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and mix them together. Spread or pour it on top of the bread.

 If you want the sauce to be thinner, add a little more lemon juice. If you want it to be thicker and easier to spread, add less lemon juice.
