Homemade Peanut Butter Eggs  Recipe for Easter day 2024

Peanut Butter Eggs made at home are filled with peanut butter and have a tasty chocolate layer. They're our favourite Easter treats and are really simple to make.

– 1 1/2cupscreamy peanut butter – 3cupspowdered sugar – 1/3cupunsalted buttermelted – 2tablespoonsmilk – 1teaspoonvanilla extract – 1/4teaspoonsalt – 2cupsmilk chocolate chip – 2tablespoonsshortening

It is imperative that you set aside a layer of wax paper that has been positioned on top of a cookie sheet.

Put peanut butter and powdered sugar in a big bowl. Using a high-speed mixer, mix them together until they are well mixed. Cream the butter in and add the sugar.

While beating, add the milk, sugar, and salt. Keep beating until a soft, smooth dough forms. It's okay if the dough is a little crumbly.

On a gently floured surface, roll dough into a ½-inch disc. Cut dough into egg-shaped forms with an egg cookie cutter, egg-shaped measuring cups, or a knife. Use the prepared cookie sheet. Frozen for an hour.

Put chocolate chips and shortening in a bowl that can go in the microwave. Melt the chocolate chips and shortening in 30 second chunks, stirring after each one. Be careful not to burn it.

To ensure that each peanut butter egg is completely covered, use two forks to dip it into the melted chocolate. Position them on the baking sheet that has been prepared.

Refrigerate for twenty minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened. Place the keet in the refrigerator.Serve and take pleasure in it!
