These simple Chocolate Covered Oreos are the perfect Valentine's Day treat! White chocolate-dipped Oreos with pink chocolate frosting and heart sprinkles.
Ingredients
Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set it aside. This is why I prefer to use the pre-cut parchment sheets from Reynolds because they are able to fit neatly inside of a cookie sheet.
It is necessary to melt white melting wafers in line with the instructions that are available on the packaging.
Check to check that the chocolate has completely melted and is highly spreadable before proceeding.
In most cases, the microwave is used at a power level of fifty percent for two to three minutes, with stirring occurring every thirty seconds.
When it comes to melting the chocolate for this recipe, I make use of a measuring cup made of Pyrex glass.
Using the Oreo cookie as a model, dip it into the melted chocolate until it is completely covered. Do this with each cookie individually.
First, remove any leftover chocolate by tapping it gently, and then lay it on the parchment paper. Repeat the process with the remaining cookies.
When it comes to dipping the Oreos, I find that it is most convenient to use a plastic fork that has had the two middle prongs broken off.
After you dip the cookies in chocolate, put them in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes to let the chocolate set and get hard. I put the whole sheet of cookies in the fridge.
Melt pink melting wafers per package instructions. Cut the bottom corner of a Ziploc bag.Pipe chocolate lines on Oreos. Sprinkle sprinkles over melting chocolate immediately.
Return the cookie sheet to the fridge for several minutes or let the chocolate solidify at room temperature.Keep decorated cookies refrigerated until serving. Room-temperature cookies soften slightly.
