Not only is Sweet Pineapple Glazed Ham a fantastic Easter dinner option, but it's also a tasty and cosy meal any night of the week.
Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. A roasting pan or cookie sheet of 12 inches by 18 inches should be lined with tin foil, and then the tin foil should be sprayed with cooking spray.
Place the ham on the tin foil with the flat side facing down. The bottom of the pan should be filled with either water or a quarter cup of pineapple juice.
Take tin foil and cover the ham and the pan.Cook for a total of 90 minutes, which is equivalent to 1½ hours.
When gammon is almost done, make pineapple glaze. Mix pineapple, brown sugar, honey, cornflour, spicy mustard, and salt in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
Cook the mixture while stirring it frequently until it reaches a boiling point. After the water has reached a boil, continue to simmer while stirring for one minute.
When the ham has been removed from the foil, pour the glaze over the top of it. The ham should be covered with the foil once more, and it should be baked for a further thirty minutes.
During this period of time, the temperature of the gammon should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit on the inside.
For the duration of the thirty minutes that the gammon is being cooked, you have the option of basting it with the juice using a baster (or a large spoon) on multiple occasions.
After removing the gammon from the pan, slice it. A gravy boat should be used to transfer the glaze from the roasting pan, and the gammon should be served alongside it.
