Slow Cooker Pulled Beef

This slow cooker pulled beef recipe is really simple to make and always comes out beautifully, making it a great choice for summer potlucks. 

– 3- pound chuck roast beef – 2 teaspoon salt – Pepper to taste – 2 large garlic cloves  – 1 teaspoon onion powder – 1 tablespoon dijon mustard – 1 cup beef stock or water – ½ cup your choice of BBQ sauce

Chop the chuck roast and trim off any excess fat. Mix the onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

Season beef all over. Add vegetable oil to a large skillet over high heat and sear beef chunks until golden brown.

After the chunks have been seared, place them in the slow cooker, mix in the garlic, and then pour in the beef stock.

Once the lid is closed, cook for 7-8 hours on low or 3–4 hours on high heat. The meat ought to be easily shredded and fork-tender.

After the steak is fully cooked, take it out and use two forks to shred it. Eliminate any extra fat. Transfer to a bowl, then mix in the barbecue sauce.

Top with chopped parsley and serve with baguettes, buns, or any kind of sandwich. Have fun!
