Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Ham with Orange Glaze is a delicious and easy way to cook ham in your slow cooker until it's juicy and tender.
Ingredients
Put 2 cups of brown sugar, 2 cups of orange juice, 3 tablespoons of orange zest, and 8 ounces of orange marmalade in a medium-sized bowl. Use a whisk to mix the ingredients together.
In the event that the ham has not been pre-sliced, slice it at a distance of one inch from the bottom or flat side. This will ensure that the slices remain intact.
Put the ham in the slow cooker with the flat side facing down. The mixture of brown sugar and orange should be poured over it.
The leftover orange marmalade and the Boar's Head Brown Sugar & Spice Glaze should be spread in between the slices of bread.
Put the remaining half cup of brown sugar on top of the ham and make sure to work it into the ham well. Add some orange slices on top.
After placing the lid on the slow cooker, cook the food on low for four hours or on high for two hours.
Given that the ham has already been cooked, all that is required of you is to heat it up and incorporate the flavours into it. The longer you cook it, the more dry it will become.
While the meat is being cooked, open the cover a few times and pour the juices over it with a ladle.
This will ensure that the meat remains moist throughout the cooking process. After the ham is ready, slice it and serve it.
A jar that is airtight and filled with the brown sugar orange glaze mixture that was made in the slow cooker should be used to store it.Have fun!
