The butterscotch blondies, which are both sweet and salty, are absolutely mouthwatering!
INGREDIENT
– 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour– 3/4 teaspoon baking powder– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled– 2 cups (400g) firmly packed light brown sugar– 2 large egg– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract– 1 & 1/2 cups butterscotch chip– 1/2 cup chopped nut– coarse salt
Preheat oven to 350°F. Parchment paper should overhang the two long sides of a 9"x 13"x 2" baking pan by two inches. Grease the parchment and vulnerable pan parts.
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Mix butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a separate bowl. Add flour slowly and mix until combined. Mix in nuts and butterscotch chips.
Step 2
Evenly distribute batter in pan. Top the bars with a few pinches of coarse salt. Bake 30–35 minutes until the bars are golden brown and a pick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Step 3
Place the pan on a wire rack to cool the bars completely. Lift the bars from the pan onto a cutting board using the overhanging parchment paper. Cutting into bars.
