They are called Koulourakia in Greek and are eaten at Easter. The outside is crispy and the inside is soft. Usually, they are made around Easter, but they are also great for church days and festivals.

– 1cupunsalted butterroom temperature – 1 1/2cupswhite sugar – 3egg – 1/2cuporange juice – Zest of 1 orange – 6cupsall-purpose flour – 1teaspoonbaking soda – 2teaspoonsbaking powder – ½teaspoonsalt – 1teaspoonvanilla extract – 1eggbeaten – ⅓cupmilk

It is recommended that a bowl of medium size be used to combine the ingredients of flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

First, place the butter in a big bowl, and then use beaters to cream it. Slowly incorporate the sugar. Include the zest of an orange.

A single egg at a time, alternating with orange juice, should be added. Add some extract of vanilla.

Mix in the flour mixture as you add it, a little bit at a time. In the end, you should have a dough that is soft.

The dough should be covered and chilled for half an hour.Put the oven on to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Put cookies on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper and space them out at a distance of two inches.
