Homemade Chocolate Chip Nutella Oatmeal Cookies are a variation on a classic. Brown sugar cookies with browned butter, oats, chocolate chips and Nutella. These sweets melt in your tongue. Some of the best cookies are made with sea salt on top!
Ingredient
– 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter– 2/3 cup brown sugar– 1/4 cup granulated sugar– 2 large eggs– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract– 2 cups all-purpose flour– 2 cups old fashioned oats– 1 teaspoon baking soda– 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt– 1 rounded cup chocolate chips– 1/3 cup Nutella

Heat the oven to 350°F. Parchment a baking sheet. Add butter to a medium-heat skillet.

Cook until butter browns, 3–4 minutes. Off the heat and into a heatproof bowl. Allow 5 minutes to cool.

Stir brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla into brown butter until smooth. Mix in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Mix in chocolate chips gently.

Roll dough into 1/4-cup balls and lay 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Each dough ball should be cut in half and flattened to accommodate Nutella.

Place 1 rounded teaspoon of Nutella in the centre of each cookie and cover with the top half. Lightly flatten each dough ball. Bake 8 minutes.

Rotate and press the baking sheet 1-2 times to flatten after removing from the oven. Bake until the edges of the cookies are just setting, 4-6 minutes.

Let cookies cool on baking sheet. While on the baking pan, they will cook slightly. Serve warm with sea salt or keep in an airtight jar for 4 days.
