This Brown Butter Skillet Blondie is very simple to make. All you need is a skillet and a spoon.
INGREDIENT
– 10 tablespoons (141g) unsalted butter– 1 cup (200g) firmly packed brown sugar– 2 large eggs, lightly beaten– 1 & 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract– 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1 cup (170g) semisweet chocolate chip– 1/2 cup (60g) chopped nut– coarse salt, optional– ice cream, for serving– caramel sauce or chocolate sauce, for serving
Put butter in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet. Butter should melt and foam over medium heat.

Cook, stirring occasionally, until brown specks form at the bottom of the pan and the butter smells nutty.
Step 2
Remove pan from heat. Add brown sugar and mix well. Allow to cool slightly. Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir eggs and vanilla into the cooled butter mixture.
Step 3
Add flour, baking powder, and salt and mix briefly. To avoid a mess, add flour in portions and stir gently.
Step 4
Mix in chocolate chips and nuts. Evenly distribute batter in pan. Sprinkle a pinch or two of coarse salt on top if desired.
Step 5
Bake 25–30 minutes until the blondie is golden brown and a pick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Do not overbake.
Step 6
Consider serving warm with ice cream and caramel or chocolate sauce.
