Bacon Wrapped Smokies With Brown Sugar and Butter

Experience the ultimate flavour combination of savoury bacon, sweet brown sugar, and a hint of smoky goodness with these Bacon-Wrapped Smokies. 

– 8 oz smokie – 8 oz bacon strip – ½ teaspoon smoked paprika – ½ teaspoon salt – ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper – 2 tablespoon brown sugar – 3 tablespoon butter  – 16 toothpick



Prep the baking sheet. Aluminium foil or parchment paper makes cleaning a baking tray or dish easy. Set aside. Fire up the oven.

Wrap smokies. Wrap each smokie in bacon. Secure it with a toothpick to hug the smokie.

Mix spices. Mix smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, brown sugar, and melted butter in a small bowl. Brush smokes.

Baste the smokies with this brown sugar glaze to enhance their flavour and crisp the bacon.

Place the lil smokies on the lined baking sheet. Place coated smokies in a single layer on the baking tray.

Bake the smokies for 15-20 minutes until nicely browned. The smokies are crispy, sweet, and salty with a soft, chewy interior.
