Fresh asparagus and peas pasta salad is a great side dish for potlucks or busy weeknights. It's full of nutritious greens and topped with a creamy homemade dressing everyone will love.
– 1 pound pasta – 2 cups frozen pea– 1 pound asparagus – 2 cups baby bocconcini– 1 cup Parmesan cheese– 1 cup buttermilk– ½ cup mayonnaise– 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar– 1 clove garlic– 1 teaspoon salt– 1 teaspoon black pepper

Follow package directions to cook pasta. Thoroughly drain and rinse cold. Boil water or pasta water in a pot.

Put ice water in another bowl. Add asparagus and frozen peas to boiling water and cook for 2 minutes until crisp-tender.

To prevent the vegetables from cooking, drain and add them to the ice bath. Make sure to drain well.

Mix the dressing ingredients in a medium bowl. Mix pasta, veggies, bocconcini, and dressing in a large bowl.
